PilatesImageAn initial course of six pilates classes at The Shed have proved so popular with local residents that we’ve decided to offer pilates sessions EVERY week, on Tuesdays between 10am and 11am.

Pilates provides a full body workout using core muscles to help improve your posture and flexibility. The weekly sessions teach the following principles of pilates:

Breathing – traditional method lateral breathing

Concentration – for your mental awareness

Control – to help your exercise technique

Core Control – foundation of your movement

Precision – awareness of your muscles

Flow – help fluidity and grace

Each session is held at The Shed @ The Adam Eastwood Building, Wood Street, Market Warsop, NG20 0AX. The lessons are pitched at people of all ages who are either total beginners or who have not practiced pilates for a long time. If you are interested in joining the classes, you will need to bring along an exercise mat, a small towel and water (although The Shed has a limited number of pilates mats if you don’t have your own).
